Dar Dar left MontRose as an eight week old puppy to reside at Aliyah
Australian Shepherds where she acquired her balanced start in life. This
energetic Aussie returned to MontRose in March 2007 and after only a few
days I knew that MontRose would be her forever home. She is the Kole
daughter that I have been waiting for these long years. Her attitude, energy
drive, and intense drive to please is what first drew me to this breed, plus
her intense beauty. Like her sire, she does not quite fit the breed
standard, as she is an instant lover of all humans without hesitation.
However, the true Aussie, she would be the first to step into the path
between me and danger in the wild. Dar Dar began her show career the first
weekend in July '07 going Best of Winners in back to back shows. Her next
shows were two weekends later and she went Winners Bitch both days. The
following weekend she was Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite over a Specials
bitch for a major win and the next day Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and
Best of Opposite for her second major win. The following weekend she was
Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and Best of Opposite over a Specials bitch,
acquiring 14 points in AKC in less than one month. She took a hiatus while
we waited for her coat to fill back in and once again stepped into the show
ring on September 23rd to finish her championship. Dar Dar won the large open black class at the Blue Ridge Australian Shepherd
Club National Pre-Show on October 1, 2007 and then won Winners Bitch under
Judge Richard Pittman defeating 69 other bitches and then was Best of
Winners under Judge Heather Herron.
