
Chizel was born at MontRose and left as a puppy, finishing
his Canadian championship on August 18, 2001 before the age of one year. He then
left for Brazil where he quickly became a champion. In December 2002 Chizel went
Best In Show in Brazil, the first in the history of the breed in South America
and was #1 herding dog in Brazil in 2002, collecting 135 Group placements, which
included 66 Group One placements, 53 Group Two placements, 12 Group Three
placements, and 4 Group Four placements. Chizel went on to become a multiple
Best In Show. In 2003 he was the #1 Australian Shepherd, #1 herding dog, and #8
overall. In April 2005 he returned to the home of his birth at MontRose to
acquire his AKC and ASCA titles. He acquired his first 4 point major in ASCA in
April at the HONYASC show in Manlius, New York. Chizel quickly finished his AKC
championship on June 4, 2005 going Best of Breed over four specials, his third
of five shows that he acquired points at while here, to win over specials.
Chizel finished his ASCA championship on October 8, 2005
at the Garden State show in New Jersey going Best of Winners for his fourth
major win.
