Kole arrived at MontRose at eight weeks of age. He began his AKC show career at thirteen months of age and with four major wins was a champion at fourteen months with a Best of Breed win and twice Best of Winners. Kole went on to become a multiple Best of Breed and Group Placement winner in AKC. Kole finished his ASCA (Australian Shepherd Club of America) championship with three five point majors and finished his CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) championship with ease. Kole acquired his AKC obedience title (CD) in November 2000. In 2002 Kole qualified for Record of Merit (ROM I) with ten titled offspring in conformation. In 2003 he qualified for Record of Merit Excellence (ROMX III) with twenty five titled offspring in conformation, obedience, and agility. Kole has been presented with ROM-C I (conformation), ROM-P I (performance), and ROM-O I (obedience) certificates, the only sire to date, to achieve this recognition in all three categories by USASA (United States Australian Shepherd Association). Kole became an ASCA Hall of Fame sire at age nine.
